COMMUNITY OUTREACH Besides the Principal’s Office of the High School is a room housing many books, many cabinets and other equipments. From that point you will see a big signage telling that it was their library itself. The officer-in-charge of the library, Mr. Romeo Abucay told to us that it has been two years already after their transfer from the original library to the present, but because of many commitments, interruptions and school activities, they failed to organize properly the books where they are suppose to be.
Since we sought that there was really a problem in the library, the group (student teachers of UHS) decided to conduct a community service to organize, clean and beautify the library, so as to make it a more inviting place to the learners. The Library being the heart of the school is very much important to the students because, it is where they do some research work, assignments as well as reviews during examination. It may not have felt by some at least we tried our best that in our own little way – we did help in the improvement of the library. Our goal to help in the improvement of the library was not the only thing that was realized in this activity. While working, we did also enjoy each others’ company, which proves that we are all social being. In other words this activity served also as our socialization and getting acquainted as a group. I can’t deny how grateful I was when words of appreciation came out from the mouth of Mr. Abucay, thanking each of us for the little things we did.

The more you do unselfishly, the more you live abundantly.
The more of everything you share, the more you always have to spare.
For only what we give away, enriches us from day to day.
